On the basis of PPP an investment project “Construction of Syvash wind power plant” is being implemented, according to the agreement on concession concluded in 2006 between Kherson RSA and Syvashenergoprom LLC for a period of 49 years in Chaplynsky district of Kherson region on
To date, three lines of Syvash wind power plant with a total capacity of 2.92 MW have been put into operation and wind power has been produced in the total volume of more than 18 064 thousand kWh.
In April 2018, NBT AS (Norway) acquired Syvashenergoprom LLC and plans to build a 250 MW wind power plant. The company already has significant experience in the market of alternative energy in China, has offices in Oslo, Limassol, Beijing, Karachi and Kiev.
On August 6, 2018, in the presence of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, an EPC Contract was signed between the Norwegian company NBT AS and China Power for the construction of the before mentioned wind farm.
Within the framework of the Kherson International Economic Forum “Tavrian horizons”, which took place on September 21, 2018 in Kiev, a solemn signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kherson Regional State Administration and the Norwegian company NBT AS took place.
As a result of the fruitful cooperation of representatives of the regional and territorial as well as district authorities with the investor, in the fall of 2018, preparatory work for construction began. Upon completion of the construction, the plant will produce about 913,000 MWh per year, which will provide 250 thousand people with electric power. The term of the project implementation is the fourth quarter of 2019.
In addition, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and NBT AS and Total Eren concluded with the participation of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko an agreement on the project of wind power “Syvash”, the signing of which was fully guaranteed by the financial fund of the project, which construction was announced in September 2018.
During a meeting of the NBT AS Council and its Equity, a partner, the French company Total Eren, signed a framework agreement to raise funding for the Syvash project in the amount of 260 million euros. The agreement provides for the attraction of credit funds (more than 70% of the total cost of the project) and own investments, in particular, by NBT AS and Total Eren.
