Within the Forum the panel discussion: “Globalization of the external economic processes through development of transport and logistic infrastructure and recovery of river navigation” has taken place. The main scope of the discussion was devoted to the of transport and logistic project corridor presentation through “Water gate of Ukraine”. The chairman of the Kherson regional state administration Andrii Gordieiev moderated the panel.
Within the discussion the CEO of LLC AE “Nibulon” Alexey Vadatursky has outlined possibilities of creation powerful transport hub of Ukraine through transport logistics development , demonstrated the business strategy of the company for carrying out dredging works within water areas of E-40 navigable way for increase in river transportations on a route the Baltic Sea – Gdansk – Dnipro – the Black Sea and also introduction of container transportations and transportation of bulk cargoes down the river Dnipro to Belarus Republic (potential goods turnover – 25 million tons per year). Also Mr. Vadatursky informed the participants about intentions of the company to construct estuarial port in Kherson region.
The idea of creation of the specified corridor was supported also by the Belarusian side, in particular the Consul general of Republic of Belarus in Odessa Vladimir Chekhlov and also the representative of the specialized Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine, the adviser to the Minister Yury Gusev.
The chairman of the Gomel regional executive committee Vladimir Dvornik also took part in the panel discussion and reminded that during the recent meeting of Ukrainian and Belarusian Presidents they had discussed the issue of need and the prospects of commodity turnover increase between the countries due to waterways use. Within implementation of the concluded arrangements in the Gomel region the project of port construction in Nizhny Zhary village has already started. It will become transport hub and will connect Ukraine, Belarus and the European states though dredging of Pripyat and Dnipro rivers.
Other interesting project submitted within the panel discussion was devoted to the offers of “dry port” and the plant on granulation of potash fertilizers on the basis of the former JSC “Kherson Cotton Plant” creation which will be included into the concept of Black Sea and Baltic transport and logistic corridor creation. It will connect cargo streams from Iran and other countries of the Middle East to Ukraine and Europe. The project was submitted by the director of LLC Amalteya Sergey Rybachok.
This idea was supported by the chairman Ukrainian-Arab business council Mr.Abbas Hashemi who expressed intentions concerning the appropriate support from the Iranian partners.
To confirm joint intentions for further cooperation in conclusion of the discussion the Memorandum of cooperation and partnership between the Kherson regional state administration, the Gomel regional executive committee and the NIBULON company has been concluded.
